Today my blog is officially 1 year old! Wow, time flies by.
One year ago, on a warm day in May I decided to start a blog. After I had seen that there would be a PNES conference in New York and I decided to go there.
So many things happened since this decision! I started to write for my blog, I went to New York and met others with PNES, I got an internship out of it and I even want to continue my further education in this direction. It was a great year of writing and although I narrowed my blogposts down to only once a month now, I absolutely love to do it. I hope, that when I can fully focus on PNES, I will have more time to write about my experiences.
My PNES seizures decreased tremendously, however they are not fully gone yet. There are still periods when I have some more (like now) but it doesn’t bring me down as much anymore as it used to.
It gives me so much energy to see people from all over the world reading my blog every month. Dear readers, thank you so much! And even more energy I get, when I receive messages from others recognizing the seizures and the struggles that come with it.
I hope that you enjoy reading my blog as much as I love writing it and there is a whole new blogging year coming up! With experiences from my internship in New York (I am leaving in 6 weeks!) to studying in Montreal. I can’t wait 😀
And to end this festive post: my PechaKucha presentation! A concept of presenting with 20 pictures about which you can talk 20 seconds each. I was invited to speak at PechaKucha Maastricht about my journey as a PNES patient. Yet, another experience I can add to my list!
Have a great weekend!
